Generally, there are vane type air motors, piston type air motors, and gear type air motors.
Vane air motor: The main components include end cover, housing, rotor, blade, spring, bearing, oil seal, etc.
Piston type air motor: including crankshaft, housing, cylinder head, rear cover, cylinder liner, connecting rod, piston, gas sleeve, bearing, sealing ring, buckle ring, pressure pad, etc.
Gear type air motor: double gear type and multiple gear type. In general, double gear type is used more. The gear can adopt straight teeth, helical teeth and herringbone teeth. The working chamber of this kind of pneumatic motor is generally composed of a pair of gears. The air compressor provides the air source. The compressed air is input from the symmetrical central shaft, and the gears rotate under the action of pressure.
Compared with other pneumatic motors, geared air motors have the advantages of light weight, simple structure, small size, low air source quality requirements, impact resistance and low inertia. In general, gear-type air motors are suitable for mining machinery, etc.
