The Difference Between Centrifugal Fans and Axial Fans

The following are the main differences between centrifugal fans and axial fans.
The centrifugal fan changes the flow direction of the medium in the duct, while the axial flow fan does not change the flow direction of the medium in the duct.
The installation of the centrifugal fan is more complicated. The motor of the centrifugal fan and the fan are connected generally by a belt driven rotating wheel, and the motors of the axial fans are generally in the fans.
Centrifugal fans are often installed at the inlet and outlet of air conditioning units, boiler drums, induced draft fans, and so on. Axial fans are often installed in the middle of the duct or at the front end of the duct outlet.
In addition, there are diagonal fans, the wind pressure coefficient is higher than axial fans, and the flow coefficient is larger than centrifugal fans. They fill up the shortcomings of axial fans and centrifugal fans. At the same time,it is simple and convenient to install.
