There are two series of hydraulic wrenches: driven hydraulic wrenches and hollow hydraulic wrenches. The drive hydraulic wrench relies on the drive shaft to drive the corresponding standard sleeve to achieve the pre-tightening of the nut. As long as the torque range allows, it can be replaced by the corresponding high-strength sleeve to complete different standard bolts. It is a general-purpose hydraulic wrench. The scope is wider. The hollow hydraulic wrench is equipped with a transition sleeve. Generally speaking, the extension of the screw rod is relatively long, the space range is relatively small, the distance between the double nut and the bolt is too small, the nut and the equipment wall are too small, and there may be more doubtful working conditions for some specific occupations.
Hydraulic wrenches are used in a wide range; in shipbuilding, petrochemical, wind power, hydropower, thermal power, mining, machinery, steel mills, rubber, pipelines and other occupations such as construction, overhaul, and emergency repairs, hydraulic wrenches are suitable for large-standard bolts. Installation and disassembly are a relatively important thing; there are other things that are irreplaceable, not only easy to use, but also the torque provided is very accurate, with a torque repeatability of about ±3%.
At present, there are two main methods for fastening and disassembling bolts:
(1) The way of hydraulic stretching, namely hydraulic stretching device.
(2) Hydraulic torque method, grade hydraulic torque wrench, etc.
Of course, the bolts with low tightening requirements can also be used with open wrenches or torque multipliers. The working principle of the hydraulic wrench: the hydraulic wrench is connected to the power source (electric hydraulic pump) through the high-pressure hose, and the high-pressure hydraulic oil is input to the hydraulic wrench through the power source to push the drive shaft to rotate, so as to realize the fastening and disassembly of the bolts.
