The band saw blade is the largest consumable during the use of the band saw. In order to ensure the best sawing performance and service life of the saw blade, in addition to selecting the appropriate saw blade, it must be properly installed and run-in before it can be used. If a new band saw blade does not do the following steps, it will greatly reduce the service life of the saw blade.
Why should the saw blade be run-in in advance?
The new band saw blade has very sharp teeth. If the new saw blade is not run-in first, it will easily cause abnormal wear when cutting the material for the first time. After the correct running-in, the saw blade can be prevented from breaking prematurely.
How to install and run-in the saw blade correctly?
1. When installing the saw blade, keep the machine and the saw blade close together, and the tightness should be appropriate. Adjust the clamping degree of the machine according to the saw blade.
Focus on checking the tension of the saw blade. If the saw blade is too tight, it will cause the saw blade to break during use. If the saw blade is not tensioned tightly, it will be prone to cutting diagonally or pinching the saw.
commun antenna custom2. After installing the new saw blade, press the start switch to slowly rotate the saw blade, and observe whether the tooth tip of the saw blade is scratched and other abnormal friction.
The saw blade needs to be idling before it is officially used. When idling, check whether the saw blade has abnormal vibration or jump up and down. If there is, check and adjust the saw wheel.
3. After idling, the band saw blade can start to run in. The speed of the band saw blade during running-in is only half of the normal feeding speed. If there is no abnormal situation, the feeding speed is gradually increased to the normal value, which can extend the service life of the band saw blade.
