The first is the precautions before use, this must be known: the new saw blade must be run-in before the formal use. The service life of a saw blade that has not run-in or is not run-in is 1/3 or less of that of a run-in saw blade. When the saw blade is running in, only half of the normal feed pressure/rate and cutting speed can be used until the surface area of 300-1000cm2 is sawn. Then gradually increase the feed rate and sawing speed to normal values.
The following are some things that need to be paid attention to when using the band saw blade:
1. Do not use a new saw blade in the old saw, it may damage the saw teeth or cause a broken belt. Do not start the saw blade on sharp corners.
2. Maintain proper tension during use to achieve straight cutting and prolong service life. Please reduce the tension of the saw blade when not in use. Do not use the saw blade under too high or too low tension. Too high tension may damage the saw blade or the machine, and too low tension will cause uneven sawing and even accidents.
3. The workpiece must be clamped firmly, and the workpiece must not move, rotate, or vibrate during the cutting process, so as not to damage the saw teeth of the saw blade.
4. Adjust the guide so that the saw blade can move freely and flatly; make sure that the guide and the saw teeth do not contact each other; put the guide arm as close as possible to the workpiece to support the saw blade.
5. Twisting cutting is not required.
6. Install the saw blade on the guide wheel so that the back of the saw blade is close to the flange, and do not stick the saw teeth on the flange to avoid damage to the saw teeth.
7. Pay attention to check the sawdust when cutting. Too fine and powdery sawdust means that the feed pressure is too small, which is easy to cause premature wear of the saw teeth; if the sawdust is thick and burns, it means that the feed pressure is too large and the cutting amount is easy to be too large. The phenomenon of broken teeth, broken belt and saw deviation occurs. Do not increase the saw speed without checking the thickness and color of the sawdust.
8. Use cutting fluid and choose the concentration according to the sawing material to extend the service life. The correct use of band saw blades can not only extend the service life of the product, but also complete the cutting work more efficiently.
