The Differences Between Axial Fans and Centrifugal Fans

Centrifugal fans are machines that rely on input mechanical energy to increase gas pressure and discharge gas.
Centrifugal fans are used widely for ventilation, dust exhaust and cooling in factories, mines, tunnels, cooling towers, vehicles, ships and buildings.
Axial fans have a wide range of uses. Axial fans are usually used in occasions with higher flow requirements and lower pressure requirements.
The axial fans and centrifugal fans are different in performance, structure, price and impeller.
Their performance is different.Centrifugal fans with the same impeller diameter have higher wind pressure and lower noise than axial fans.
Their structure is different. Centrifugal fans are mostly volute type, and axial fans are mostly cylindrical.
Their prices are different. Centrifugal fans with the same impeller diameter are more expensive than axial fans.
Their impellers are different. Centrifugal fans are multi-blade forward or backward, and axial fan impellers are mostly four-blade and six-blade types.
