Accessories for Air Chipping Hammers

The the air chipping hammers are mainly used to remove the rust layer of metal products and to remove the burrs of different types of castings, and the excess concrete of buildings, etc.
The control of the air chipping hammers is accomplished by grasping the rear, pistol-grip handle of the hammer with one hand and the barrel or shaft with the other. In this way, vibration is controlled and maneuverability is maintained.
At present,some heavier air chipping hammers come equipped with a detachable second handle which can be screwed into the shaft for easier control of the tool.
Now,almost all manufacturers provide optional equipment.For example, the rotating shock-absorbing handles can reduce vibration, and heat shields can protect the operator from the excessive frictional heat generated when the hammer heats up during use .
Many manufacturers now offer such optional equipment as rotating, shock absorbing grips to cut down on vibration, and heat shields to protect the operator from excess friction heat caused when the air chipping hammers heat up during use.
